What is Somatic Yoga?

Somatic Yoga is an inclusive, accessible, therapeutic & trauma sensitive blend of yoga, feldenkrais, somatics & embodiment practices.


A somatic approach to yoga is focused on quality over quantity, on what you can feel, not what you can do. Feeling the sensations and being guided by them. A slow moving meditation. 


It is by this embodied approach that you can learn to become deeply intimate with your inner felt sense and develop body awareness. When we move and breathe from this place we are able to let go of deeply habituated stress patterns, develop new movement and breath pathways and create long term lasting change, physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually. Allowing you to relax into yourself, move, breathe and be in the world with more presence, freedom, ease and self acceptance both on and off the mat.


A typical class may include: Meditation, Breath practices, Somatic Yoga, Relaxation, Mantra and Sound Healing.

Weekly Group Online Class

This class will allow you to access ways to move, breathe and be using your inner felt sense as a guide. Resulting in more fluid movement and breathing choices, allowing you to relax into yourself, move, breathe and be in the world with more presence, freedom, ease and self acceptance both on and off the mat

Private 1-2-1 Sessions

Private classes are designed & tailored around you, with more personalised attention.

Suitable for those recovering from illness or injuries, complete beginners and those with more experience. 

1:1 or private group sessions start with a consultation to assess your individual needs. From the information gathered, I will guide you through practices and that are supportive for your long term health and wellbeing. 

Small groups are available also. Bespoke private group classes with friends or colleagues provide a more intimate practice & environment - a great shared investment too!

1-2-1 Yoga is available at Transcend Studios Eccles, The Pilates Rooms Urmston, or in the comfort of your own home.
